Welcome!

The Kern County T.O.P. Dog Club with all of its officers and members is pleased to have you visit us!

The "T.O.P." in our club's name stands for

  • Tracking
  • Obedience and
  • Protection

These are the phases of the sport of Schutzhund, what we train for and compete in. Whether you are interested in training and titling in one phase, or all three, Schutzhund will have something to offer most dog sport enthusiasts!

Our Mission

We love our dogs and interacting with them!
Schutzhund training is a great way to interact with our dogs constructively, teaching activities as we enjoy our dog's and each other's company. We believe in training our dogs to the highest level they can each achieve individually. Along the way, we try to achieve Schutzhund titles, such as:

Club Profile

We are a small, friendly and very supportive club! Our members are from a wide range of backgrounds and ages, we are open to Junior members. We belong to an organization called DVG, an umbrella organization in Germany, through which we are able to receive accredited judges for our trials and award internationally recognized Schutzhund titles and sports medals.

It is our goal to stay very active throughout the year, with regular training meets, a certified training director, a strong goal oriented training program, seminars, trials, practice matches, educational video sessions, fun evenings together and most of all our continued support for each other and our dog's progress.

Feel free to contact us and explore our website for further information and our calendar of events!
